Day 1: Negombo

Right after you arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport, our representative will welcome you and guide you to your Hotel in Negombo. You can rest after the long flight. On our first day, we will visit the port city of Negombo and its much-known Fish markets This city is a mixture of sandy beaches, colonial architecture, fishing markets, and lagoons. You will experience the coastal life of Sri Lanka and learn about the centuries-old fishing industry. We will also visit the Negombo lagoon and see some colonial architecture built over centuries. The Dutch fortress near Negombo lagoon is a masterpiece in Dutch Architecture.

Day 2: Anuradhapura

On the second day, we will visit Anuradhapura. It is also the first capital city of Sri Lanka founded by King Pandukabhaya in 377 BC. As one of the most important city for Buddhists, this city offers many sacred Temples, Dagabas and Monasteries. We will visit the 8 sacred sites namely Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya, Thuparamaya, Lowamahapaya, Abhayagiritya. Jetavanaramaya, Mirisawatiya, and Lankaramay. Also, a visit will be to the Black Water Pond to witness the achievements in Hydrological Engineering in ancient Sri Lanka.

Day 3: Polonnaruwa

On the third day, we will be visiting Polonnaruwa, an ancient capital city. A goldmine for archeology, this place offers a picture of Old Sri Lanka and its culture. We will also visit the Somawathi Temple and an ancient rainwater reservoir in Sri Lanka. We will also visit the Statues of Buddha that are sculptured in Stone which is one of the important site in this place.

Day 4: Sigiriya / Dambulla

This place is most importantly known for Sigiriya Fortress rock or Lion’s Rock. It is one of the most famous sites which is a UNESCO recognized Heritage Site. You have to climb 1200 steps to reach the top. This will be one of the most spectacular experiences you will have. We will also see the Sigiriya Mirror wall and sweeping stroke paintings in the same place.

Day 5: Sigiriya / Dambulla

On the fifth day, we will visit the Sigiriya village. Here, you can enjoy various village activities, meet with locals and understand the lifestyle of the place. In the evening we will visit the Minneria National park. It is mostly known for its finest wildlife experience and hosts an incredible Elephant migration. If we are lucky, we will witness this event with our own eyes.

Day 6: Kandy

Kandy is a place we would not let you miss. It is one of the important historical places in the country. This is an ancient capital city of the Sinhalese Kandyan Kingdom. It is located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. You will witness the past glory of Sri Lanka. In the evening, we will finish our day with Traditional Sri Lankan Cultural Dances that entice the audience. These dances represent the culture and history of Sri Lanka and the Kandy culture.

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya is a dream place. You will fall in love with this place due to its beauty The lush green tea estate will fill your heart with joy which you will remember for the rest of your life. This is a major attraction within the country and hosts local and foreign tourists alike. After Tea Plantations, we will also visit Waterfalls and pick up some strawberries with the locals.

Day 8: Ella

Ella is famous for its Train track and Train rides among the hills. From Lush green Tea plantations to hiking trails, epic waterfalls, and jungle mountains, Ella is filled with bio-diversity and the most attractive of them all is good old train rides among the hills. You will experience a beautiful day in this place.

Day 9: Ella

This place has more things to offer so we will spend the nineth day here too. A pleasant hike to the widest waterfalls in the country will let you capture the stunning beauty of this place and store it in your memory and possibly on your Instagram too. So, be sure to pack the best camera lens you have. Also, some more destinations include places related to the Hindu Epic Ramayana and the King Ravana.

Day 10: Yala

Yala is a world-renowned National park. The key attraction of this place is its incredible wildlife and migration of birds and animals. Wildlifes such as Elephants, Sloth bears, birds, wild water buffalos, leopards, etc can be spotted here. We will also visit the Sithulawwa Rock temple and Kataragama Hindu Temple in the evening to get blessings.

Day 11: Bentota

After all the mountain hikes and wildlife spotting, this is the place for relaxation. Bentota will greet you with another beauty of Sri Lanka. You will now see another beautiful part of Sri Lanka i.e. the beautiful beaches that face the great Indian Ocean. When you stand at the beach and face south, you will see the vast ocean which is the only thing that is separating you and Antarctica, there is hardly any landmass between.

Day 12: Bentota

Again for the next day, we will remain in Bentota for more. Bentota is a coastal town located on the west coast of Sri Lanka. It offers you a break from the frequent walks, hikes, and waterfalls. You can visit the beach and relax for this day.

Day 13: Colombo
